چکیده
Acinetobacter baumannii (AB) is a bacterium that causes infections, particularly in immunocompromised patients. Treatment challenging due to biofilm formation by AB strains, which hinders antibiotic effectiveness and promotes drug resistance. The aim of our study was analyze the biofilm-producing capacity isolates from various forms infections relation biofilm-related genes their We tested one hundred for using crystal violet microplate method. Drug resistance analyses were performed based on EUCAST CLSI guidelines, detected PCR. All strains found form biofilms, with 50% being ICU 72% classified as strong producers. Among these, 87% extensively drug-resistant (XDR) 2% extra-extensively (E-XDR). most common gene set bap, bfmS, csuE, ompA, 57% all isolates. Our research shows that, regardless infection, biofilm-forming can be expected among emergence E-XDR XDR non-ICU highlights necessity rational use antibiotics stop or limit further acquisition A. baumannii.
